About Me

This website was born not only from my love of fashion, elegance and style, but a keen interest in the art of communication - more specifically, non-verbal expressions of our character. Having previously spent a year in France as a language student, my taste in fashion was definitely influenced by the elegant, minimalist style of the French, with an emphasis on "quiet luxury", as opposed to fast fashion. A public prosecutor (who later became a good friend of mine) told me many years later that when she first saw me in court as a young criminal defense lawyer she thought to herself, "that is what an attorney should dress like!" Which made me realize that the way we dress is not just functional; it can profoundly influence the way in which we, as professional people, are viewed by our "opponents", clients and colleagues. It can express our confidence in ourselves and our abilities, reassure our clients, and let the world know that we mean business!
